Bookcraft Class Set at Hoffman Center

The Hoffman Center for the Arts will offer an all-day Bookcraft workshop Wednesday, June 24.

Led by Eliza Holliday, the workshop run from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. It is designed for students age 12 and up. Tuition will be $60. No previous experience is required, and all materials will be provided.

Students will learn a variety of book forms, including single signature stitching, Japanese binding, accordion books, single page or French fold books, burrito books, and flag books.

They will come away from the class with five to seven small book forms and instructions on how to complete future projects.

Holliday creates lettering, design and illustration for U.S. and international client. She also teaches calligraphy and book arts at retreats, conferences, guilds and community colleges, and libraries as well on-line lessons. Her website is www.letterist.com.
