Quilt and Fiber Arts Show Opens July 14th

The second Quilt and Fiber Art Show opens on July 14 with an Artist Reception from 3 to 5 pm at the Hoffman Center for the Arts.  Artists who live full or part time in the three Villages (Manzanita, Nehalem, and Wheeler),  have contributed their creations.  Come see the wide variety of pieces during extended Gallery Hours (Fridays and Saturdays 3-5 pm, Sundays 1-4 pm) on July 14, 15, 16, 21, 22, 23.
There are special demonstrations scheduled as well:
Saturday, July 15 3:00 pm:  Quilted Postcards, Bonnie Sabel-Welte
Sunday, July 16 3:00 pm: Expressive Needle Felting, Jeanine Rumble
Friday, July 21 3:00 pm: Creating Feathers, Aina Tonjes
Saturday, July 22 3:00 pm: Hand Applique’, Janet Surbrook
At last year’s well-attended show in August, visitors asked for more of the works to be offered for sale. Participants this year were given more time to create and were encouraged to offer at least one of the two items per person for sale. As a result, at this year’s show two thirds of the 45 works will be offered for sale with 30 percent of the price going to the Hoffman Center.
