Hoffman Center Sets “Colored Pencil” Class–CLASS FULL

The Hoffman Center for the Arts in Manzanita will host a one-day “Colored Pencil – Nature Art” class Saturday, Apr. 16, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Led by artist Wendy Thompson of Cloverdale, students will learn how to put perceptions into being using colored pencil techniques.

Tuition for the class will be $45, with an additional materials fee of $25 to be paid directly to the instructor.

Thompson’s work has been honored by the American Pencil Society, and she has been featured on Oregon Public Broadcasting’s program “Oregon Art Beat.”

Her Mandala series was purchased by OHSU and is now included in their permanent art collection. Trader Joe’s also features her art on several of their greeting cards.

Interested persons can register for “Colored Pencil – Nature Art” on-line at http://hoffmanblog.org/ongoing-classes/register-for-workshops. Students need to be age 17 and up, and the class is limited to 10 participants.
