Hoffman Center Issues Talent Audition Call

The Hoffman Center for the Arts in Manzanita will host its seventh annual Community Talent Showcase in late January and has issued a call for local performers to audition.

Auditions are set for Wednesday, Jan. 27, from 5 to 8 p.m. This year’s talent showcase will include two events – Saturday night, Jan. 30, and a matinee on Sunday afternoon, Jan. 31.

“We’re looking for a variety of music, magic, comedy, singing, reading, actors, or whatever would entertain the audiences,” said Center board member Dave Dillon. “Acts need to be no more than five minutes long and suitable for all ages.”

The Center hopes to have 10-15 acts per show.

Showcase admission will be $10, and all proceeds will go to support the Center’s general operating fund.  Registration form for performers available here.

 

 

 

Talent Showcase Auditions set for February 25

cts fred and friendsAuditions for the Community Talent Showcase will be held February 25th from 57 pm. If you’d like to perform in this year’s Talent Showcase, you must come to the auditions first.

We’re looking for musicians, magicians, comedians, singers, actors, ventriloquists, or whatever kind of talent someone wants to show off.

The acts must be suitable for all ages and last no more than five minutes.  First time performers will be given priority.

Talent Showcase Returning on February 28, 2015

cts fred and friendsThe very popular Hoffman Center Community Talent Showcase will return next February, so now’s the time to start planning your act.

The show will be held the evening of Saturday, Feb. 28.

We’ll be looking for a variety of local performers – comedians, singers, magicians, musicians, actors, or whatever – 12 to 15 acts in all.

More information will be provided after the start of the new year, so stay tuned.

Community Talent Showcase Returns: Start Practicing!

Will George Talent 6_75 (2)The Hoffman Center in Manzanita will host its fifth Community Talent Showcase Saturday, Mar. 1 at 7 p.m. The event will feature a variety of acts put on by local citizens. Admission will be $10. All proceeds will go to support the Center’s general operating fund.

“We’re looking for musicians, magicians, comedians, singers, actors, ventriloquists, or whatever kind of talent someone wants to show off,” said Center president Dave Dillon.

Auditions will be held Wednesday, Feb. 26, from 5 to 8 p.m., at the Center to select 12-15 acts for the show. The acts must be suitable for all ages and last no more than five minutes.

“This is always a fun event,” added Dillon. “We know the audiences have a good time – and performers too.”

“These events are so much fun and the audiences really enjoy themselves,” said Center president David Dillon. “It’s amazing the variety of talent we have among us.”

Auditions will be held Wednesday, Jan. 16, from 5 to 8 p.m., at the Center to select 12-15 acts for the show. The acts should be suitable for all ages and last no more than five minutes.

Admission to the Jan. 19 show will be $10. All proceeds will go to support the Center’s general operating fund.

“Our previous two shows were so well received, we had to do another one,” said Center president David Dillon. “We’re looking for singers, musicians, actors, orators, or almost anything. We know there’s a lot talent in this community.”

Auditions will be held Wednesday, Jan. 18, from 5 to 8 p.m., at the Center to select 12-15 acts that show a particular skill or originality. The acts should be suitable for all ages and be no more than five minutes long.

Admission to the Jan. 21 show will be $10. All proceeds will go to support the Center’s general operating fund.

It’s Back!

The Hoffman Center’s first Community Talent Showcase held in January was such a success, we’re going to stage another one on Saturday, October 1st at 7 p.m. We’re encouraging everyone to consider auditioning for this fun event. In addition to musicians and singers, we’re looking for actors, dancers, jugglers, maybe even baton twirlers to strut their stuff.

Auditions will be held Wednesday, September 28th from 5 to 8 p.m. A panel of judges will select 12 to 15 acts that show a particular skill or originality to fill a fun evening. Individual acts should be appropriate for all ages and about five minutes long.

The general public will be invited to the Community Talent Showcase for a $10 admission. All proceeds will go to the Hoffman Center‘s operating budget.

Dust off your banjo (or whatever your talent may be...) for the Community Talent Showcase coming January 29, 2011

The Hoffman Center is looking for people talented in a wide variety of ways who would like to strut their stuff for a special Community Talent Showcase to be held Saturday, Jan. 29, 2011.

“We know there are a lot of gifted and talented people in our community – many with talents the rest of us don’t know about,” said organizer Vera Wildauer. “Singers, musicians, actors, orators, comedians, magicians, mind-readers, contortionists, what have you.”

Auditions will be held Thursday, Jan. 27 from 5 to 8 p.m. A panel of judges will select 12 to 15 acts that show a particular skill or originality to fill a fun evening. Individual acts should be appropriate for all ages and about five minutes long.

The general public will be invited to the Community Talent Showcase for a $10 admission. All proceeds will go to the Hoffman Center‘s operating budget.
