The mission of the Manzanita Writers’ Series is to foster the local writing community, to promote the area’s literacy and writing programs, as well as bring well-known authors closer to the north coast reading public.
A program of the Hoffman center, the Manzanita Writers’ Series features a regional published author each month, usually on the third Saturday. After the reading, there is a brief question and answer period, and then local and emerging writers can participate in an Open Mic session. Afterwards, the featured authors are invited to sell and sign their books.
Readings will be held at 7 p.m. in the Hoffman Center Annex on 594 Laneda Avenue, across from the library, in Manzanita. $5 admission.
