Dark & Stormy Book Weekend

Writers and booklovers alike are invited to the first ever Dark & Stormy Book Weekend in Manzanita Oregon November 7-8, 2009. With writing workshops, book readings, Open Mic readings and children’s storytelling, the weekend will be full of options. Manzanita merchants are offering discounts on many services and items.

The Manzanita Writers’ Series, a program of the Hoffman Center, is providing two workshops and an evening with Matt Love, author and publisher, who’ll read from his new book–Super Sunday in Newport. After Love’s reading, an Open Mic will be held with the theme of “Dark & Stormy.” Nine writers can share five minutes of their original work.

For kids, there will be storytelling at the library.
