Workshops
We’re offering three workshops:
On Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Helen Gallagher, author of Release Your Writing: Book Publishing Your Way!, will present a workshop on today’s options in self-publishing.
The workshop will explore the differences between self-publishing, print-on-demand (POD), and ebooks, and analyze the benefits of each method. Attendees will go home with a list of resources and a guide to the practical matters of your rights, royalties, and costs for each type of publishing.
Saturday, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m., Mindy Hardwick will teach a free seminar for students 12 to 18 years old. Click here for more information and the pre-registration form.
On Sunday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Susan G. Wooldridge, author of the well-loved book poemcrazy: Freeing Your Life With Words, and of the new Foolsgold: Making Something from Nothing and Freeing Your Creative Process, will present a poetry-writing workshop.
In the workshop Wooldridge brings exercises from the book to life, exercises that help free up your writing, expand your range of images and words, and generally shake up your thought process. Not only for poets, the workshop will help you bring more exciting language into your writing–whether poetry, fiction, or nonfiction.
