Classes in wheel throwing, hand-building and related techniques are offered monthly. Calendar and sign-up information is available on the Hoffman Center Blog at hoffmanblog.org.
Open Studio is offered three times a week for anyone 18 years and older to come work on clay projects. Hours are Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Artists can purchase clay for wheel or hand-building, have their works bisque fired in the studio’s kiln, and then glaze works before final firing.
All experience levels are welcome and a Volunteer Studio Host is available to answer questions and offer tips during Open Studio.
Studio fees are $2 per hour, which include glazing and firing up to the finished product. Clay is $1.50 per pound.
